PAST PAPERS:

IGCSE Centre has all the past exam papers and mark schemes from 2002 onwards, IGCSEWorld has many too. AceThem and ExtremePapers also have past exam papers with mark schemes. At AOLpapers you can download all the past papers, markschemes, examiner reports etc from 2008 – 2015. There are many other sites that keep opening and closing – just remember our syllabus for IGCSE Chemistry is Cambridge (CIE) 0620.

IBDP past papers are relatively easy to find but sites with them on close down frequently or are forced to remove them once the IB finds out. Here is one site: free exam papers.

IB Blueprint has lots of videos that talk you through exam questions – only you can decide how useful they are.

McGraw-Hill Biology Virtual Laboratory Exercises – over 20 labs including dissections. Each lab includes a quiz and a table of results to complete.

hhmi BioInteractive: virtual labs from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute

PhET interactive simulations from the University of Colorado

Wow Biolab – 14 virtual Biology labs from Classzone. Each lab includes a lab report to complete

AP Biology Labs from Eduweb – this site gives students an opportunity to manipulate laboratory equipment, gather data and process that data.

ANIMATIONS

Very short, simple biochemical animations from St Olaf College can be found here and Interactive Concepts in Biochemistry (from Wiley) have a number of biochemistry animations, tutorials & quizzes. Also W H Freeman have 106 in-depth tutorials to illustrate and explain some of the many complex topics in biology. KScience have some nice simple animations.
